NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE MARCH 8, 2016 IN THE SIGN OF PISCES 18 °
POWERFUL CHANGES AND NEW BEGINNINGS FOR EVERYONE.
There are “signs” in the Sun, Moon and all the planets. Many cultures have developed elaborate systems for predicting events from celestial observations. Western Astrology is one of the oldest systems still in use. It can trace its roots to the 17th century Mesopotamia from where it spread to ancient Greece, Rome, the Arab world and eventually Central and Western Europe.
Astrologers pay attention to the Solar and Lunar eclipses because they are both very poignant and are turning points into something new and also completions. The effects of an eclipse can begin as early as 6 weeks before and develop over the following 6 months.
This Solar Eclipse on March 8th is even more powerful because it is also a New Moon and a “Super Moon”. (Which means the Moons energies are intensified because it’s at its closest point to the Earth in its orbit). It also forms a powerful T-Square with Jupiter in Virgo and Saturn in Sagittarius.
People in the mutable signs of Cancer, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces around 18 ° will be strongly impacted. There will be changes and potential upheavals. 6 planets, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Neptune and Saturn will all be under the sign of Pisces and Venus follows shortly on the 13th.
What does this all mean? Think of an eclipse as rebooting your computer with new updates. A Solar Eclipse reboots your conscious mind and a Lunar Eclipse is more emotional, motivating your inner world.
To understand more of how this eclipse will affect us we need to look at the sign of Pisces, and how to ride this wave of energy that will be coming at us. I use the term wave, because this eclipse goes over the Pacific Ocean and Pisces who is ruled by Neptune governs the oceans. Neptune takes you on journey into the mystical realm. You are free to create with your mind, empowering your future vision and dreams. Come from your Higher Self and not your ego. Do not be pulled by the undertow of illusion. I predict that there will be more issues with water that will be revealed over the next few months and we will all need to pay more attention to this. Pisces is the last of the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces).
Because this is also a New Moon we need to plant new seeds of intention, and set goals. Look at what you want to accomplish. What do we need to let go of so that we can move forward?
With Pisces we learn about letting go, surrender and transcending. We learn to connect with something that is bigger than our ego identity and connect more with the divine ~ higher consciousness. Pisces is the Spiritual seeker, the visionary, it represents love and compassion.
So with this New Moon/Eclipse It is about finding that healing within so we can shine our light and love out into the world. Think about where in your own life are you going to step up and do something new for yourself and have a better sense of understanding for not just you, but for others?
Pisces is very soulful and often dreamy and other worldly. It moves through mystical waters beyond and inside of the material world. When that process is not allowed to unfold naturally or when the “other world” feels blocked from their experience, they may then turn to drugs, alcohol, sex, work or other “escapes”. Deep sensitive feelings are also Piscean, and when the Solar Eclipse erupts in March, the power of feelings will be experienced, feelings that may feel almost overwhelming at times.
To tap into the higher potential of this Pisces Solar Eclipse we need to make more time for meditation and connection to the divine then we might normally. If we don’t take the higher road we could go into the shadow side of Pisces. And you might want to escape if you’re feeling sensitive. There could be inaction “just dreams no action, no sense of self”. So now that you have an idea of the “Shadow side” this should help to guide you by taking the conscious creating time in your life to attune yourself to something bigger.
Also the placement of Neptune in the sign of Pisces from 2012 thru 2025 will give us all many years to deal with its lesser expressions of escapism, deceit, etc. and instead learn how to potentially embrace the higher more noble qualities of compassion, visionary oneness with creation and our own intuitive natures and universal love. This year offers us all many possibilities for change. To heal and embrace a new life of healthier, spiritual and psychological balance.
